Discipline: Socio-Technical Systems Until now, our health decisions have been based on information we receive from research and from clinical tests. The work of the Center bridges the gap between data collected in large studies, and data collected in clinics, by giving us personal data collected continuously in our homes, comparing it to previous personal data, and alerting us early to important changes. In other words, soon we will be empowered with personal health information to support more informed medical decision-making. |
BiographyCecelia manages the industrial liaison and the operational functions of the Center for Future Health. She has 23 years multinational corporate experience and seven years of academic experience. She has been involved with tele- rehabilitation research, psychophysiology research, and with complementary medicine disciplines locally and nationally. She holds a patent in the use of biofeedback and images, to manage psychological state. She has participated in a cultural exchange between the Beijing Medical Society and the Canadian Council for Exceptional Children, meeting with physicians and faculty in hospitals and schools throughout China. She has conducted site visits to Israeli medical products incubators, to identify new medical technology. Most recently was a delegate to the a White House Forum on Technologies for Successful Aging.
