My work at the Center for Future Health is as part of a
team of social scientists collecting cultural data at
the level of the local community. Insights about
people's everyday experiences and their cultural models
that explain the way the world works serves two main
purposes as communities interface with new technologies
in that it: 1) allows the community to identify its
technology needs; and 2) provides information about how
technologies influence social change.
