Environmental Scans

Environmental scans provide an ongoing assessment of the technologies and applications that are relevant to selected medical conditions. The objectives of the pilot project are:

1. To identify the medical needs and opportunities for selected medical conditions associated with aging
2. To survey the technologies that support detection, monitoring, and management of the conditions
3. To discover the gaps between the needs and capabilities in order to identify the most promising avenues for future research, development, technology integration and implementation, and
4. To present this information in an appealing, easy to use, expandable information center as a web interface.
