Biography
Randal Nelson recieved his PhD in computer science from
the University of Maryland in 1988, and is currently an
associate professor of computer science at the
University of Rochester.
His research interests involve machine vision and
robotics with an emphasis on systems that engage in
sensory-mediated interaction with the physical world.
Recent and current projects include visual navigation,
motion recognition and analysis, vision for manipulation
and hand-eye coordination, and 3D object recognition.
