Body Sensor Networks (BSNs), in which a number of real time sensors and actuators are placed on or inside the human body, promise significant improvements for many applications and services.. These applications and services include medical applications such as diagnostic techniques, health and stress monitoring, management of chronic disease, and patient rehabilitation and sports and fitness tracking. The Center enables me to interact and collaborate with other researchers in the field to analyze the problems and develop solutions in this exciting field.

Biography
Alireza Seyedi is a Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at the University of Rochester. He has been with the department since September of
2007. Prior to that, he was a Senior Member Research Staff at Philips Research North
America.
He received his PhD and MS degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both in
Electrical Engineering, in 2004 and 2000 respectively. He received his BS degree,
also in Electrical Engineering, from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1997.
He is a Member of IEEE and IEEE Communications and Vehicular Technology societies.
He is also a member of Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.
